As we study mythology, you will notice there are more mythological references in society than you realized. For the class, you will collect these items into a notebook on our class Wiki. For each item, you need to include the sample you found, and what myth (or myths) the example reminds you of. 9 entries are required for each marking period for a total of 18.
Examples:
It's Hermes!
Florists’ Transworld Delivery logo Explanation: With his winged sandals and helmet, this is clearly meant to envoke Hermes, meaning the flowers will be delivered in a hurry.
Buried in style!
Neptune SocietyLogo Explanation: The Neptune Society cremates people and buries them at sea by the Neptune Memorial Reef. Neptune was the god of the sea, so the connection makes perfect sense.
